Illustrated book

The Moomins

Remaking the Moomins by Tove Jansson. The illustrations are based on scenes from the book "The Magician's Hat" ("Finn Family Moomintroll"). I tried to come up with a different approach to it all. It was a great challenge of course, since the original illustrations by Jansson herself are such a strong part of the story. The main influence for the characters design ware African tribal masks.
